Meet Us
Maeve
Mimi and Ben adopted Maeve in early 2025, and she’s learning the ropes of becoming a farm dog. She loves chasing dragon flies, running circles in freshly tilled soil, hiding under the shade of the wheelbarrow and eating freshly harvested broccoli. Our goal for Maeve this year is to dig a few less holes and not steal any dahlia pots!
Mimi
Mimi (with Oliver the original brown dog) has grown vegetables and flowers for over 15 years, selling to subscription members, farmers market customers, and restaurants. After seasons of focusing mainly on vegetables, her attention has turned to flowers, and she has been the organizer and artist behind growing and arranging the new varieties we have brought to the farm over the last few years. Her favorite flowers to harvest are tulips because they are the first of the season!
Ben
Ben has been farming for over 15 years and met Mimi and Oliver back in 2010 on another local farm. Along with helping out at Brown Dog, he was the Farm Manager at Alaska Pacific University’s Spring Creek Farm in Palmer from 2019 until early 2024. You’ll see Ben at market on Saturdays, and he spends a lot of his time on the farm contributing to infrastructure projects like the fence, greenhouse, high tunnels, or walk-in cooler. His favorite flower is ranunculus.
